Carolina Dreikorn has over 25 years of professional experience as an independent consultant. She has worked for UNDP (El Salvador) as Coordinator of Sustainable Development and Resilience, as consultant for UNEP, FAO and USAID, and as member of the consultant team USAID/Méndez England & Associated. She has also worked as advisor of National Biodiversity Strategies (ENB) and Climate Change, National Reports and Biodiversity Diagnostics for El Salvador, preparation and evaluation of national and regional programs and projects (NAMA, GEF, GCF, IKI).
Her main areas of expertise include climate change, environment, biodiversity, water management, risk and disaster management, and definition of legal frameworks, policies and strategic plans. Her expertise extends to the effective application of Results-based Management.
Carolina is an Architect and master in International Policy Development. She has also completed additional trainings in leadership for development (course taught by UNDP and Harvard Business Publishing), assessment of post-disaster and recovery damage and needs, and comprehensive risk and disaster management.
