Strategic Planning

Zonamerica has been developing and working for sustainability for years for the achievement of excellence as a company. The environment is part of their priorities as a company and as such should be planned in the short, medium and long term. Zonamérica decided to engage in a planning process that included environmental aspects at its core. To this end, it hired AAE consulting services for the development of its strategic plan and operational plan.

Main tasks

  • Participation in work sessions with focus group.
  • Analysis and review of documents.
  • Research and preparation of priority axes.
  • Specification of priority axes.
  • Development of the Results Framework.
  • Matrix Development of Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • Drafting of the Strategic Plan document.

Main outputs

  • Reduction of energy consumption to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Improvement and adaptation of the external and internal transport system to reduce GHG emissions.
  • First business park in the region to fix the objective to take concrete actions to be carbon neutral.
  • Provision of a platform for the companies engaged in the fight with climate change that would allow them to accomplish the objective of reduction of the carbon footprint and biodiversity conservation.
  • Reduction of volume of solid waste.
  • Improvement of the efficiency of the collection and recycling system.
  • The 3 substantive axes of the environmental strategic plan and its results potentiated through the communication.
